Cute but rather beige St Georg bar for casual drinking and chatting, opened in 1989 by Matthias, who refers to this as Hamburg's last 'new' Kneipe (old-style bar). Lots of intimate booth areas define the space, which, like all of Hamburg's so-called basement bars, is reached down just a few steps from ground level. Located just opposite hustler bar Pick-up and a few doors down from the very recommended Italian restaurant Il Buco [see entry], just seconds from the Hansaplatz and five minutes from the Lange Reihe. Celebrated its 34th anniversary in August 2023.

i am a fan since extratour opens in 1989. the best gaybar in town...
The best Gay-bar in Hamburg. No rents, no drugs. very nice barkeepers and nice people. i will give 5 stars to them.
My favorite Hansa Bar
"Mathilde" and his crew is so great, kind, nice and fantastic, so I look forward everytime to visite them when I'm in Hamburg.
