Purgatory (Closed Permanently)

No ratings yet
Hamburg's house of house
Smallish-in-a-good-way weekend St Pauli club devoted to the latest house and electronic sounds, with local and international DJ talent playing to a rather stimulated mixed and very gay-friendly crowd. Decor is kitschy-hip. Opened in 1992, now with classic status. Closed during the summer of 2017. S-Bahn: Hamburg Reeperbahn. U-Bahn: St Pauli. Sadly Purgatory staged its last ever party on Saturday 2 February 2019. Its afterlife will take the form of the Electronic Red Light Festival (August 2019) and beyond.
