Galerie-Hotel SEE HOTEL WEDINA Formerly: Galerie Hotel Sarah Petersen

Using half a million euros donated by the City of Hamburg, this romantic 1790 townhouse was restored in the early 1990s and remains singular among the city's hotels. You don't get more gay-friendly than the location, and it's in the domain of Felix Schlatter's nearby Hotel Wedina. With just four available rooms, it surely qualifies as boutique, though the hotel identifies itself more as a 'Garni' (German for inn or bed and breakfast). The hotel received a major renovation and upgrade in 2014, with check-in and breakfast now nearby at Hotel Wedina at Gurlittstraße 23. 'Sarah Petersen' no longer figures in the hotel's name. As of 2016 Galerie-Hotel no longer exists as a separate entity, officially now simply part of Hotel Wedina [seen entry], albeit with its own Lange Reihe entrance.
