Hotel am Dammtor (Closed Permanently)

No ratings yet
Decorative gay-owned hotel
A design-conscious hotel that successfully imposes modern sensibilities onto its late 1890s 'Jugendstil' (art nouveau) interiors. The 38-room Dammtor has been a hotel only since the early 1990s, before which time it was the domain of single (and very wealthy) families. The current (gay) owner took over in 2005. S-Bahn: Dammtor, then a three-minute ride to St Georg (or a 20-minute walk). Sadly the hotel closed October 2016.
