Frauenhotel Hanseatin

A women-only hotel started in 1995 by partners Linda Schlüter and Karin Wilsdorf, who first made their name in Hamburg lesbian society in 1989 with café-bar Frauencafé Endlich, which closed in August 2013 after 24 years, 18 of them housed in this 13-room hotel. Endlich is now a rentable space, while Linda and Karin devote more time to maintaining the personable and individual qualities of the hotel, which also includes a bar. Built in 1820, the house offers a pick of bedroom styles, from traditional to modern, though not all come with a bathroom/toilet. For the record, the original 1989–95 location of Endlich is now an institution devoted to Niederdeutsch.
