A relatively recent addition to the city's art scene, this exhibition space, opened in 2002, is named after Hamburg benefactor, politician and journalist Gerd Bucerius (1906–95), who in 1946 co-founded national newspaper Die Zeit. The Kunst Forum stages three or four carefully curated themed exhibitions per year, in conjuction with other museums and institutions.
