It's all in the name

The most iniquitous of Hamburg's sex dens (of which there are few), S.L.U.T. prides itself in serving the less repressed, hinged and washed – a dark hole for guys into leather, rubber, army, skins, fisting and filth, no holds barred. In 1999 Stuttgart-area-raised Thomas Pfizenmaier gave the first of his Hamburg S.L.U.T. parties, at his home with 400 people. In 2002 he started staging monthly S.L.U.T. nights at corner bar Zip, and two years later — following the demise of Zip (and its linked neighbour Black) — took over the space full-throttle. The main floor is a bit of a narrow squeeze, leading at one end to a labyrinth of toilets and cubicles, and at the other, to stairs descending to the rather popular darkroom. There's also an enclosed area for those in-between (or after) moments. On a late Saturday in the month (at 5.30pm), the bar hosts the Hamburg version of FickstutenMarkt [see Berlin bars entry], though these events are sporadic at best. Saturday at S.L.U.T. is the one strict fetish night, with Sundays hosting a rotation of quasi-themed evenings. Check website for other special interests, including the Thursday mid-evening naked takeover. Cheaper or free entry mid-evening/pre-11pm. Plus Two4One drinks deal Wednesday 8pm–11pm. In 2010 in Berlin, Pfizenmaier transformed the corner space left vacant following the demise of the original incarnation of New Action, with his renewed New Action an immediate success. In December 2025, Pfizenmaier handed over his S.L.U.T. baby to some of his workers, though Pfizenmaier continues to run New Action in Berlin.
