Daniel's Company

Welcoming, local-ish and mostly gay-male bar with a certain harbour feel, opened in 2008 by Matthias and Elli following the demise of their Daniel's Bar in nearby Ellmenreichstraße. Dominated by one big central square bar and fitted with a fair share of effective decor (twinkly lights, a splash of leopard upholstery etc), the bar attracts regular non-fetish men, though it can get a mixed crowd, including women. Music tends to be of the pop-oldie and Schlager variety (including special Schlager nights) while DJs pump a different sound to the dance floor at the weekend. Every first Wednesday of the month there's Nina Queer's Glamourquiz, co-hosted by the Berlin drag star and recording artist (with Amy Strong). Plus Dragqueen Karaoke with Leona London und Ruby Snow on the the third Wednesday of the month. Check website for confirmation. Smoking is a viable option thanks to an outdoor terrace. Located just around the corner from Toms Saloon (a partner, in fact), and ever so close to the Steindamm. Closed Sunday.
