A 169-room, designer-functional hotel in the heart of St Georg, this establishment (formerly made up of two adjoined hotels) is one of 18 Novum establishments in Hamburg as of 2019, but it's the only one of those in the Design and Style range (since 2011). The pallate here is greens, browns and beiges, with a certain attention to detail, though there's no air conditioning and only one lift serves all six floors. Breakfast is not a plus, but the location – perched above the Steindamm, conveniently and effortlessly equidistant to Toms Saloon and S.L.U.T Club for those inclined – is. And just six minutes from the Lange Reihe. Not expensive, but not quite budget either.
