A 193-room, design-aware establishment which describes itself as an "avant-garde city hotel", built in 2012 by the Barceló Hotel Group (the second largest chain in Spain) and marked by a certain Spanish character. Rooms are airy and there are numerous suites with balconies. Facilities include a sauna and basic workout machinery. Located two minutes from the Alster (lake), two minutes from the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) and about eight minutes from the Lange Reihe (gay catwalk). In short, gay-friendly. And not too pricey for some.
