One of Hamburg's gems, tavern-like Backbord sways from to schnitzel to spaghetti, with other German/Austrian and Italian specialties in between. Vegeterians and vegans will also be happy here, as will those who value organic ingredients. But it's the so-good-it's-sexy schnitzel that's the main draw. Located just around the corner from the Reeperbahn and the Talstrasse (St. Pauli's gayest street), it's well worth a visit and won't deplete you of club funds. Moved from Clemens-Schultz-Straße 41 to 18 in 2013 or so. Sadly Backbord closed October 2016.
