Lovely and quiet corner establishment just off the buzzy/hip Schulterblatt (in the Schanzenviertel) and made near-incognito by the beautiful and abundant Linden tree that cascades over it and gives it its name. Started in 1982 by the kindly Benno Tiemeyer, this rather gay institution is marked not only by generous and garden-like outdoor seating as well pleasing and cosy indoor decor but also a very good kitchen with international cooking and excellent cakes and tarts. Schnitzel and strudel have their place here. A one-off, and not to be confused with Berlin's Unter den Linden. U-Bahns: Sternschanze and Feldstraße.
