Buzzy and rather beautiful food market since 1912, running underneath an elevated stretch of Hamburg's U-Bahn, from Eppendorfer Baum station to Hoheluftbrücke station. There's clothing and accessories and household goods among the more than 200 dealers, but the main draw here is fresh food, including fish and locally grown fruits and vegetables, plus coffee stands and patisseries. Works a treat as an aesthetically pleasing backdrop for a conversation.
