WunderBar - Hamburgs schrillste Gaybar

(4 Ratings)
Lively, crowded and young

A rather classic if touristy St Pauli club for the not quite innocent, socially enthusiastic, party-hungry, and mostly photogenic over-18 crowd. Located in the area's gayest street, the bar was started in 1991 by Axel Strehlitz and famed gay Hamburg theatre impresario and former football club president Corny Littmann. Music veers from chart pop and R&B to the odd drunken Schlager moment. Red and gold rule here to lurid effect. In short, not dull. Linked to occasional club night Pink Inc. [see entry]
