SIDE Hotel
12-story tower of cool design
A tall, super-sleek, glass-and-stone hotel built in 2001 with architect Jan Störmer and interior designer Matteo Thun, the 178-room SIDE veers from the funky/colourful and near-futuristic to the calm and creamy. Views from the top eight floors are impressive, and the well-equipped hotel is a short ride to and from the bars in St Georg. You could possibly walk it, but you'd probably have to be sober. The hotel's name refers to the Seaside Hotels group which owns the SIDE.
